Apparently, in this present world, you can find many cures for depression, but it’s not easy to find the real cause behind whats troubling you so that it can be treated naturally. There are more often cases of depression in teens which are being reported by doctors and scientists. This may be due to more advanced treatments which are available, and more of teens need help.

Or it may be a combination of these various factors, but whatever the reason, depression in teens is not something that should be ignored. It’s unfortunate that some extreme cases have led to tragedy, so whether you’re a teen concerned with your condition or a parent, it’s important to sit up and take note, and then take action.

It is basically due to a missing chemical in the brain which makes the sufferers not have a good mood. There can be physical or internal factors which affect the sufferer badly due to which depression is the end.

If the required amount of this chemical is not produced then you will anyway lead to depression. It is also caused in teens mostly due the chemical imbalance. Many other physical causes like fluctuation of hormones which is common during puberty can also lead to depression.

Some of these physical causes go away with time in teens. As hormones level off as teens grow older. It is not right to believe this and get no treatment done as you can end up suffering terribly in the end.

It’s thought that problems such as bullying can cause depression in teens. Keep in mind that often when a person feels trapped and helpless in their situation this can lead to depression, regardless of the situation they feel trapped in – a bad marriage, severe debt, a stressful job, and so on.

Teens and kids often are unable to find a solution or try and discuss the problem with their parents. Due to this they end up in the path of depression. It is not easy for teens and kids to change schools and colleges also.

This helplessness and frustration with the problem, as well as the humiliation they may be suffering, can often cause depression in teens. Other situations can be similar to how a bullied teen feels.

Living in an abusive home or even if one parent is negligent or abusive, if they are using any kind of drugs, if they have failing grades, or if they feel they are under tremendous amounts of pressure to perform academically or athletically. All these are some of the many factors which lead to depression.

To support the teens during depression is one way of helping them to recover from it. As a parent you should see that your child discusses every problem with you and you assist them to solve the problem without punishing them.
