Of all the news you have heard, the news about being pregnant is the best. Well, of course only second to hearing the grand proposal. After a successful wedding ceremony, hearing that your love has borne fruit is the icing on the cake.
For first time expecting mothers, arranging all the right stuff for the new baby can be a difficult task. One of the ways to keep things on schedule is to make a list of all the necessary items the new born will need, and then getting them one by one, well before the new baby’s arrival.
But there’s another easy way to have it all, without much difficulty. The solution is to hold a baby shower party! The only headache mom-to-be would have is the menu she would have to prepare on that day and that is easier for her. The joy and thrill of the party can be added up by sending baby shower unique invitations to the guests.
By planning for a baby shower you are shifting the burden of selecting baby stuff to the guests. But another concern is raised. How will the baby shower go about? The best answer there is, is to have a theme that would guide the flow of the baby shower. Why not go for a unique baby shower theme. Do you want it to be based on color? If you already know the gender of the baby, why not base the theme accordingly and set your theme based on Pink for a baby girl and Blue for a baby boy. Or How about character-themed baby shower such as the Sesame Street, Power Puff Girls, Dexter’s Laboratory or the Looney Tunes?
Once the baby shower is finished, take stock of what is already there and not. It is quite possible that you still miss out some important baby stuff from the list, just make sure to get it before the arrival of the new baby.
Some last tips for a successful baby shower party:
Hold it four to six weeks before the due date, establish a theme, write down the guest list, set the tone and size of the baby shower, plan the games, plan the menu, create baby shower party favors, and last but not the least, set the time and location, if it will not be held in your residence.
Remember, baby showers are a fun way to welcome the baby that would be coming soon enough.
